Project Overview

Manufacturing Energy Consumption Surveys (MECS) are mandatory surveys conducted by the Energy Information Administration (EIA), a branch of the Department of Energy (DOE). The purpose of the surveys is to compile detailed data on energy consumption in the manufacturing sector. Albertsons engaged Imperion to complete MECs for four of their manufacturing facilities.

Imperion collected and reviewed all energy source data, worked with engineering/maintenance teams to estimate energy balance for each site, and reported findings for each facility as required by the Form EIA-846. By working with Imperion to complete the MECS, Albertsons was able to streamline the survey process, provide accurate statistics on their energy and fuel consumption, analyze the trends of their energy usage, and continue with their sustainability and energy initiatives.
