Central California Baking Company (CCBC) is a family-owned business, located in the center of the San Joaquin Valley, that focuses on the baking and production of a variety of pastries such as claws, horns, and snails. Faced with rising energy costs and increasing utility rates in California, CCBC sought to enhance their facility’s energy management practices. To address these challenges, Imperion was engaged to develop an Energy Master Plan (EMP) for the site. The EMP provided a comprehensive roadmap for CCBC, identifying energy efficiency and self-generation opportunities and introducing basic energy management techniques to optimize operations. The plan was structured into six key phases: assessment, goal setting, options, comprehensive plan, implementation, and measurement and verification (M&V).
As a result of Imperion’s EMP, CCBC successfully implemented new energy-efficient technologies, reduced energy waste, and improved their operational processes, ultimately lowering operation costs and enhancing overall facility performance.
