Project Overview

Producers Dairy is a subsidiary of Shehadey Family Foods, a second and third-generation family-owned food company. At the forefront of innovation in the dairy industry, Producers prides itself on nourishing and supporting the community with a focus on the freshness and sustainability of their products. Their Fresno facilities operate 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, for a total of 8,760 operating hours each year. Given the essential nature of their operations, they require dependable and safe energy resources.

Imperion helped Producers Dairy successfully apply for over $2MM in funding from the California Energy Commission (CEC) – Food Production Investment Program (FPIP). The grant will help fund the implementation of energy-efficient refrigeration and compressed air systems. The adoption of these systems, coupled with the use of ultra-low global warming potential (GWP) refrigerants and advanced technologies such as desuperheaters and heat of compression (HOC) air dryers, demonstrates Producers’ proactive approach to sustainability and environmental management. By investing in these upgrades, they will not only reduce greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions and energy consumption but also contribute to the resilience and reliability of the local energy grid.
