DOLE Packaged Foods is a leader, producer, marketer, and distributor of frozen fruits. Their operations rely on continuous refrigeration, freezing, and cold storage to preserve fruit quality. In addition, processing, packaging, and distribution all require significant power to maintain product quality and safety.
As an industry leader, DOLE reached out to Imperion to conduct an ASHRAE Level 1 Energy Audit to identify opportunities for demand side management (DSM), renewable energy, and electrification at their Atwater, CA facility. The findings from this energy assessment offer multiple benefits to the facility including energy and demand reduction, greenhouse gas (GHG) savings, and improved grid reliability. The information gathered can also aid in the potential development of rebate and grant funding applications.
Through the ASHRAE Level 1 Energy Audit, Imperion identified $52K+ in annual cost savings and $720K in potential project funding opportunities.
